Le case di Valentina
Trulli, cicale e olive is located in the heart of the Itria Valley, in a quiet and peaceful countryside area, surrounded by centuries-old olive groves, a few kilometers from some of the most beautiful and renowned towns in Puglia. The request that guided the design of the Trulli villa was to transform typically rural structures into a design holiday home, able to meet the needs of living comfort and to achieve a refined aesthetic result, while respecting the typical characteristics of this traditional Apulian architecture. The choices underlying the interior project thus express a harmonious balance between the traditional component and the more contemporary and functional one that characterizes the accommodation facilities aimed at an international clientele. The “flavor” of the chianche and cement tiles counterbalances the neutral surface offered by the resin coatings, while vintage pieces of furniture blend nicely with the innovative LAGO design furniture. “Trulli are works of art, built by the skilled hands of trullari masters, with time and patience. I enthusiastically embraced the idea of using LAGO furnishings because I believe that the cleanliness, linearity and lightness of their pieces is equally the result of great expertise and goes perfectly with the stone of the trulli, the ancient cement tiles (the decorated tiles found in living room and bathrooms) and the cocciopesto floors (a mixture similar to concrete that was used to make the floors in the trulli and that we chose for the living room and for a bedroom). The LAGO furnishings enhance the peculiarities of the trullo’s architecture, they do not hide it. “
