Malibù Kitchen Bar
Looking out over the bay of Follonica, Malibù Kitchen Bar is a small, stylish restaurant with a modern and lively design which provides the perfect platform for LAGO’s instantly recognisable products. The interior design project, which was overseen by the Soft Soluzioni d’Arredo LAGO Point, pays tribute to the surrounding landscape, using warm tones which evoke the colours of the summer and sunsets over the sea, which is visible from the tables on the outdoor veranda.
In the main room, the combination of Air tables, in various sizes and finishes, seemingly suspended on tempered glass, creates a playful contrast of materials and colours: Wildwood oak tabletops stand side by side with painted glass tops in the sun, teal and peach finishes, while hand-painted ceramic tabletops create a highly original colour effect. Framing the tables are a number of sleek, functional Dangla chairs, whose pastel colour contributes to the restaurant’s modern, welcoming interiors. Meanwhile, one corner of the room is home to a unique take on the wine cellar, created thanks to the modular 36e8 wall unit, which adds another stylish architectural feature to the space.
The LAGO furniture brings a sense of harmony and lightness to the restaurant interiors, while the meticulous attention to detail on show adds personality, allowing the brightness of the space to shine through and contributing to a relaxing atmosphere where one can surrender to the pleasures of Tuscan gastronomy. It’s a space designed to promote wellbeing and sharing, two of the core values around which LAGO has built its design ethos. The brand aims to effectuate a positive change on the way we live and generate empathy between people by ensuring that every space is unique and different from the competition – be that a restaurant, bar, hotel, office, shop or real-estate project.
