THE MULTI-YEAR STAND THAT REDUCES CO2 EMISSIONS BY UP TO 87%

To transform the stand into a revolutionary piece of ecological architecture. This was the challenge LAGO set for the Salone del Mobile 2022 with Good House: a sustainability-oriented project, thanks to zero waste and a drastically lighter and more compact build. Designed like a contemporary home, it will be the focus of LAGO’s exhibition space covering more than 800 m2 presenting the news of the 2023 collection.

OPEN INNOVATION

The Good House project, in line with the logic of “open innovation”, involved SPINLIFE – a spin-off of the University of Padua and experts in environmental sustainability in business – and HENOTO, a BolognaFiere company specialising in trade fair stands with its own The Neutral Way: Henoto’s design philosophy was Henoto’s which encompasses compensation, sustainability and the circular economy.

A REVOLUTIONARY PIECE OF ECOLOGICAL ARCHITECTURE

“If all the global trade fair stands were built using this approach, we could prevent up to 239,982 tonnes of CO2 equivalent being released in the atmosphere. Considering that the average Italian family of four consumes around 3,000 kWh of electricity per year and the impact of this in terms of global warming is equivalent to 1,248 kg CO2eq, then 239,982 tonnes of CO2eq is equivalent to the annual consumption of 192,293 average Italian households.” - affirms Professor Alessandro Manzardo, who led the research which was launched in 2014 and brought to fruition in 2020 by Spinlife - aimed at promoting a scalable usage model and conducted through a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA).

- 87% CO2 EMISSIONS

The materials used to build Good House allow us to lower emissions of greenhouse gases like CO2 into the atmosphere by up to 87% compared to a traditional trade fair stand.

-7 TRUCKS

Just one 60 m3 truck is needed to transport the stand instead of seven. The materials used to build the walls, platforms and ceilings are lighter and take up less space than traditional models.

0% WASTE

Good House uses aluminium and fabric panels that are 100% recyclable after 100 uses, slashing waste production to zero.

- 75% MATERIALS WEIGHT

Thanks to the Cover Up panel technology, our equipment weighs 75% less than a traditional trade fair stand.
