In recent weeks, LAGO has inaugurated the "LAGO Osteria", a corporate restaurant within the "LAGO Campus." This new cafeteria redefines one of the spaces within the over 13,000 square meters facility, inaugurated in 2020, to reinforce the idea of a workplace focused on sustainability and people-centeredness. The corporate cafeteria project is part of the LAGO Sustainability Circle, a corporate hub launched last year that actively involves 25% of the company’s personnel in six working groups operating on all fronts of sustainability, including the “People” group, which gave rise to this initiative.
Social sustainability is at the heart of the new project, launched in collaboration with Forcellini Ristorazione. This catering company, renowned for the quality of its services, also promotes the professional inclusion of workers facing difficulties. For this project as well, LAGO has strongly pursued a social pathway that has included, since the early years, collaboration with Pasticceria Giotto – the famous pastry workshop located within the Due Palazzi prison in Padua, where nearly 50 inmates work alongside the master pastry chefs of the cooperative. The collaboration with Forcellini Ristorazione, also part of the social cooperative Work Crossing, marks another step in the company’s social journey, with the goal of fostering and supporting more and more social projects for the benefit of the community and people in difficulty.
In LAGO’s plans, LAGO Osteria aims to become not just a corporate restaurant but also a space where meetings and training events related to the well-being of employees and stakeholders involved with the company will be organized.
