LAGO opens a free psychological desk for all employees and their families

As part of the path to promoting a sustainable and conscious lifestyle included in the LAGO Sustainability Circle project, the design company provides all staff and their families with a 24-hour psychological desk, valuing mental well-being as a right of every employee and an element of value for the company.

LAGO announces a psychological support service available to all company employees and their families, in collaboration with Sygmund, an Italian online psychology platform.

With the aim of continuing to promote a sustainable approach, in balance between people, nature and technology, the Veneto-based design company has taken a further step on its path to protect, support and enhance the person. A vision on which LAGO has decided to take further steps to guarantee the wellbeing of the person in his or her entirety, in a holistic perspective, both inside and outside the work environment, extending the possibility of using the Sygmund psychological desk to the family members of each employee. The project is part of a broader perspective of sustainability for the company, which with the LAGO Sustainability Circle has opened six working tables operating on all fronts of sustainability, including that on 'People' projects, from which the idea of the psychological desk was born. Hence the collaboration with Sygmund and, in particular, with Prof. Alessandro De Carlo, the company's founder, one of the best-known names in Italy in the field of applied psychology in working, social and political contexts, as well as former President of the Veneto Order of Psychologists and Secretary of the National Order of Psychologists.

A proximity to the individual worker addressed to the entire LAGO team aimed at breaking down the taboos that often see the confrontation with a psychologist as a symptom of psycho-social discomfort and instead consider it a fundamental premise for conceiving the well-being of the person inside and outside the work context as a goal for increasing his or her value to the company.

The adoption of Sygmund, taking the form of an improvement action in favour of the psychological health and organisational wellbeing of female and male workers in terms of both empowerment and protection, will be developed through psychological listening and support sessions and the possibility of extending the service to family members. For top and middle management it will also be possible to provide counselling and coaching to improve leadership skills, time and stress management, and personal development. Four short 'mindfulness' videos will also be uploaded onto the platform, also available for those who do not undertake psychological counselling, which will introduce simple practical exercises for a positive approach to everyday work situations, to improve communication and reduce stress.

Thanks to the choice of Sygmund, a local partner with a national dimension, the collaboration will also involve psychologists and psychotherapists in the Veneto region, facilitating the continuation of support paths outside the LAGO initiative.
