During the Salone del Mobile 2024, the theme of dreams will take the company’s design vision beyond furniture aesthetics, opening up to new interpretations of living.

Milan, 16 April 2024

NEVER STOP DREAMING is LAGO’s concept for Design Week 2024: an invitation to explore new dimensions of everyday living and open up to new interpretations of living. For the Salone del Mobile 2024, LAGO will be delving into the idea of design as a driver for creating objects that make our lives better, just like the 10+ new products that will be presented at Casa LAGO and Good House. Good House is the reusable stand reducing CO2 emissions by 87%. Visitors can find the stand in Pav. 24 | E11-F06. LAGO has worked with Italian and, for the first time, international designers to create these new pieces. The brand’s engagement in open, creative dialogue with Monica Armani, the Pearson Lloyd studio and Alberto Lievore is a demonstration of its unfaltering dedication to finding new ways of interpreting living spaces through encounters and contamination between different ideals and visions.    Monica Armani and CEO & Head of Design at LAGO S.p.A. Daniele Lago will be exploring this theme on Tuesday 16 April at 6.30 p.m. at Casa LAGO. Together they’ll be uncovering the world of design from new perspectives in relation to reality and dreams. Journalist Paola Carimati will be moderating the session.   LAGO has embraced a more international vocation for new encounters, represented by the Venezia Collection. Created in collaboration with Monica Armani, the new collection is inspired by Venice’s history, centred around the dialogues and encounters between cultures that have dominated its past. Together with other new products, the Venezia collection makes up LAGO’s new offering – the result of a desire to create designs that are both contemplative and innovative, where every detail is designed to generate harmony and well-being. Using pure, essential forms, LAGO has come up with new timeless products that aspire to become an integral part of our everyday lives, accompanying us through time, without ever losing their meaning or beauty. Light-look design to add value to spaces and blend in with the existing architecture. Daniele Lago, CEO & Head of Design at LAGO S.p.A. commented: “This year we’re going back to the idea of dreams, this driver for life. We’ve worked alongside three international designers with whom we’ve created delicate products that complement, or extend, the range of our most iconic products, increasing the brand’s global reach”.

Monica Armani

The daughter of an architect and an architect herself, Monica Armani was born at the heart of the Italian rationalist movement. Working in her family’s studio, she trained in a school where the detail equation is the first point of reference: form, function and technology are honed to find the best possible balance, in a synthesis represented by the manifesto “Design in Molecules”.  Industrial design was the natural continuation of this formative experience.  Today, Monica Armani designs collections of objects and accessories for Italian and international companies which have become best sellers and set industry benchmarks.

Luke Pearson and Tom Lloyd

Luke Pearson and Tom Lloyd are the co-founders of the multi-award-winning design studio Pearson Lloyd. They share in the belief that their role as designers is to listen to the world in search of opportunities to improve quality of life. They met in 1993 when their paths crossed at the Royal College of Art in London. They were both completing a Master’s degree, one in furniture design and the other in industrial design. Since founding Pearson Lloyd in 1997, the duo has built a place for itself that cuts across multiple sectors, based on insights into the social, economic and environmental challenges people face at home, at work and on the road. The studio’s team of strategists and designers work hard to decode the complexities involved in creating products and experiences capable of balancing the rapidly changing needs of users, customers – and the planet.

Alberto Lievore

An architect graduate from the University of Buenos Aires, he founded the interior design and furniture production company Hipótesis. In 1976, he moved to Barcelona, where he worked on projects for a diverse range of local industry sectors. Together with Jorge Pensi, he created SIDI, a platform that launched Spanish design in the 1980s. In 1999, he won the National Design Award for his professional career. His work in the furniture sector specifically has become well known across Europe, America and Asia. But it is in his special relationship with Italian industry that he engages in collaborations and events of the highest level – strategic consulting, product work and integrated marketing communications. He also holds seminars and lectures at various universities.   LAGO @ MILANO DESIGN WEEK 2024 16-21 Aprile 2024 Never Stop Dreaming  LAGO @ Salone del Mobile - Milano 2024 Pav. 24 / Stand E11-F6 Stand GOOD HOUSE LAGO @ Fuorisalone Casa LAGO Via San Tomaso, 6  LAGO Store Milano Porta Nuova Via Galileo Galilei, 14 LAGO Store Milano Porta Romana Corso Lodi, 2   For more information:  International Press Office LAGO S.p.A. press@lago.it - 0039 335 8394551
